New Technologies of Information and Communication (NICT)

New Technologies of Information and Communication (NICT) include: Augmented (AR), Virtual (VR), Mixed (MR), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Visual communication, Artificial Intelligence. NICT are the evolution of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).

Virtual Reality (VR)

Virtual Reality is an immersive computer simulation experience where the user is completely immersed in the experience, losing contact with the natural environment through high-tech VR gear that reproduces realistic sounds, images, and other sensory experiences.

Augmented Reality (AR)

Augmented Reality (AR) is a realistic or imaginary version of a natural environment, where the objects contained in it augment in volume, shape, height or move and come to life in front of our eyes, creating a completely new reality, which is enhanced with new digital elements, audio, video and graphics, while the user maintains complete contact with his natural environment.

Mixed Reality (MR)

Mixed Reality (MR) merges Real and Virtual Worlds to produce new environments, where natural and digital objects coexist and interact in real-time.

Mixed Reality (MR) presupposes the placement of virtual realities within a real space. The new image (virtual Reality) can interact to some extent with the Reality of physical space.

Extended Reality (XR)

It includes the combined use of all Virtual Reality Technologies: Augmented, Virtual and Mixed Reality.
